Are you talking about the large red rear panel that says "Coupe" in black
letters?  If so, does the "Coupe" lettering show up when lit?

Wow, that is a really cool idea.  How did you wire the circuit?  Those
obnoxious taillight clusters have enough trouble with handling the lights
built into it, I would hesitate to put an additional load on it.  Still,
the entire circuit might be more reliable if you just tapped off the power
and grounded the new bulbs to the chassis.  How many bulbs did you use?
