Fuel pump fuse problem fixed !!!

     Greetings all,
     
                on careful inspection of the circuit diagram co. Mr. 
     Bently,  I noticed the oxygen sensor uses the same fuse as the fuel 
     pump so snip and I'm up and riding. Thanks Frederic Gittler 
     <fjg@ch.hp.com> for pointing this out to me. It appears that the 
     Deluxe cycle of the Amoco car wash uses side jets and these must have 
     loosened the heat shroud round the cat. Well, haven't found the short 
     yet but at least I can drive now !!!!! I assume it's O.K. to run the 
     oxygen sensor without the heater, just a bit rich on startup ?
