Re: Full-time headlamps stupid!
Dan,
While I think most people are bright enough to choose DRL yes or no,
I'll bet any of the listers with a 2 wheeled fleet won't be so hard on
them. Motorcycles have had mandatory DRL for 10 years. I've been run off
the road numerous times on my bike with them and without them, but I would
have to expect that my chances of being seen are greater with them. (Then
again, I'm sort of stunned by The # of riders who kamakaze triple digits
down the road with no helmets, because their state doesn't have mandory
laws!)
Of course, DRL's might prevent those luminescently challenged from
leaving mall parking lots at night with no lights, while having no clue as
to why peopleare flashing headlights at them and scaring the crap out of
the rest of us! It will be interesting to see in 5 years the accident
avoidance effect if any of DRLs, since ABS hasn't had the effect thought.
FWIW
