I've used both the Blue Book and the NADA book in the past,
and they are both worth just that...NADA (nothing in Spanish
for those lingually challenged or not from the SouthWest.)

The current Black Book value here in the Northeast (Black
Book is published every Week, with figures from actual
     transactions.) is:

     1991 Audi Coupe Quattro 2D

     Bank Loan Value: $11270.00
Wholesale Clean: $13100.00 (hmmm makes you wonder where Edmunds
                                 gets it's figures.) ;-)
     Wholesale Average: $11500.00
     Retail Clean: $15200.00
     Retail Average: $13375.00

Deduct $350 from above for no Sunroof.

The mileage deduction is $1300 from Average Prices and
     $1200 from Bank Loan value.

So assuming Average condition with 86000 miles, wholesale
would be $10,200...a far cry from the $8500 the dealer
offered you. (Especially for a Quattro as winter creeps
     in.)
