80 Transmission Help, Pt. 2

Thanks to all who responded to my transmission problem, especially Richard,
Alan and Peter.  As it turns out my "$990 minimum to drop the transmission
just to find out what the internal problem is" (at the dealership) required
only some minor adjustments and a pan gasket at a shop I'd heard about but
not yet tried out. Less than $100 to make it run like new again.

As you might imagine, I'm quite p***** off at the dealer, and will be
writing a nasty letter, asking whether they are crooks or just idiots. I
want to also send a copy of the letter to Audi of America. Does anyone have
an address and good contact person (customer relations, I guess?)
