FW: Strange buzz/hum

My 1990 80Q has always made the same buzzing noise. My VW made the same
noise, as well.

If it's loud in the rear seat (American car owners really seem to notice 
it), is that
a sign that something's wrong. I'm at 90K miles and the VW had 120K on it 
when
I traded it, with no problems. Do I need a new fuel filter -- it was changed 
at 60K?
