3rd gear only. 30-70mph...... And no left foot braking!

'83 UrQ:

My 30-70 (2000-5000RPM, approx) numbers are in the mid-nines, with
one 8.5 on a slight downgrade to one 10.2 on a steeper upgrade; mostly
low/mid nines are the readings. This is 10-11 PSI of boost, stock timing,
etc.; Schrick cam, ported/polished head, S4 turbo, some "custom" after-
market exhaust (all StainlessSteel, no center muffler, but my mechanic
says that it's 1/4inch *smaller* diameter than stock? So I don't quite
know what the overall impact is of the exhaust system...); stock gearing
and tire size; slightly less than half-tank of gas -- call it 8-10 gallons
(and 190lbs for the driver, who shall remain nameless...).

Upping the boost to 14-15PSI drops the times to mid/upper-eights, about
a half (maybe 3/4 second) faster for 4PSI additional boost.

Outside air temp circa 40F, little or no wind.

Most times done from throttle-off 20+InHg vacuum, so pessimal turbo spool-
up timing applies; best times from "cruising" at 30/3rd gear, which I very
vaguely recall is around 10-15InHg vacuum...
