5 cyl. compression?


   I was wondering what the compression should be on my normally aspirated
5-cyl, 10 valve engine. ( it's from a '90 100Q ).
   I was also wondering what the compression should be on a 90-91 5-cyl 20v
coupe quattros.

  On my 100Q, I think it is ~135 or 140. This seems WAY too low - could
altitude be a factor here? Less air to compress? Even so, I wouldn't think
it would lower the compression by more that 15% or so.
