Disc brakes are inherently self adjusting. The caliper pistons are deeper
in the calipers with new pads, but should still be either just off the disc
or slightly touching the disc as you drive.
I would think a low pedal could be the result of air in the fluid, or
problems with the master cyl or booster. I have a different car, but it
isn't clear you have a problem. To make sure, I would suggest testing the
components I mentioned according to the Bentley.
