NF Engine Information?

     This is the non-turbo five offered in the 100s. From my
     Bentley, it was available in  89-91. Anyone have info
     on availablity in earlier years?

     I want to order up a used one, and want to be
     able to tell the junkyards I'm looking for an
     from 8?-to 91 non-turbo 5.
          ^^

     We've got a vehicle donor for the Vanagon transplant project, and
     figure getting this later model engine will help with the smog
     tests...
