Audi models/tsb's&recall info.

     Hello everybody.
I'm new to the quattro list although I do belong to a couple of others. I am
interested in exploring the possibility of the purchase of a used Audi.  I'd
like your help on where to find information regarding a couple of threads:
1)  Something like an illustrated history of U.S. Audi models.
2)  A listing of technical service bulletins for specific Audi models.
3)  Recall information on any Audi models.
     My mother-in-law had a 5000, not sure of the year, silver 4 door, I
remember being very impressed with the interior layout, leather, etc.  But my
wife tells me that there were lots of problems with the car and that her mom
ended up selling it.  I'm thinking about spending around $5000.00,if that
narrows it down any.  Was thinking of a Bimmer, but looking up their
evaluations in Consumer Reports annual car rating issue led me to look for
alternatives.
