Re: Bogus (?) Oil warning

A have a clue, dont know if its is a correct clue or even the clue, but:

intermittently, from time to time, the oil warning buzzer on my 87 4kcsq 
comes on for no apparent reason.  How long, when, how frequently, etc. 
are all unpredictable.  Best guess from the service manager and the tchie 
from my local Audi shop is that it is dirt or some foreign substance 
messing up the senor.  It always just goes away after time.

Do not take this as gospel.  Every time it happens, I panic thinking my 
egine will shortly self-destruct.  Wait for some of the serious engine 
guys in the group to respond.
