Oil Additives

Eric - my "sediments" exactly. If it needed to be in that oil, the
manufacturer would have put it in. I keep tongue in cheek firmly
when listening to claims for any oil additives.

Example: I have seen reprinted US-Dept. of Defense tests of
teflon-additives and read how they clumped in cold temps
plugged engine oil pickups, and caused engine failures.

IMHO: Run a high quality, proper weight synthetic - or petro-oil if you
have an oil burner.

I suggest that if you want to try cleaning the engine, use one of the
engine cleaners (Gunk or other) as directed - meaning add; run for
the prescribed time at idle; drop oil and filter before driving.
