Good show, Bob.  Even tho my 87 5KCSTQ is a manual, with all the obligagatory
sacrifices to the Audi gods that the previous owner declined to offer I
picked up my beauty for $2100.00 (including brand new fuel pump to intall and
Bentleys).  No one would touch it.  With under 500.00 in parts and a month's
worth of effort I had a beautiful luxury sport sedan that Road and Track
called 'The finest handling in the world' etc, etc. I really need to research
those articles again.  That's what originally piqued my interest in Audis...
