'87 5000CS Turbo

I am considering buying an '87 5000CS Turbo. It has 125k miles on it 
and I am concerned about costly repairs. 

What is the expected life of the Turbo mechanism and other major 
mechanics such as the upper engine. I currently have an 86 5000CS 
and the cam/rocker assembly needs replacement. 

I do much of the repair in my garage but some of the parts such as 
the turbo may be off limits for me.
