shimmy

In response to the question about a shimmy:

I experienced one weird incident last winter.
after parking my car in the lot of a ski place,
in deep snow, on a cold day, I had a persistent shimmy
on the 300 mile drive home.

It went away only after 60miles of highway driving.

Apparently, the tire took a "set" and went out
of round.  As they warmed up with rolling
friction, they became round again.

These were winter tires, pirelli 210s.
