Although quattro will introduce some internal friction, I think the loss
is somewhat moot in point. In my personal opinion, the primary factor of
fuel consumption is the vehicle weight. The weight of the car and the
engine efficiency will dictate fuel consumption for the car. Although I
think that's still too simplistic to determine real-world fuel consumption,
too...
