When Audi raced in the DTM series with the V8, they had to, by the 
rules, produce a limited number of cars with the racing style body 
work flairs and engine modifications for street use.  When the M3 
Evolutions were released in Europe, the US dealerships could get 
some of the upgraded parts for US M3's.  I believe the engine (US 
legal) was about $13,000 US.  Did Audi ever release the upgraded 
parts, such as engine components.  This information might lead to 
significant HP increases for V8's if they are available.
