HELP! Broken Door Handle - 5000

My driver door (outer) handle gave out.  I've gotten the inner door panel
off, and loosened the handle such that I could pull it out far enough to
see one of the metal forks sheared into two pieces.

Question:  What is the trick to get the lock cylinder and related mechanisms
out of the exisiting door handle so that I can replace it?   

I couldn't seem to detach the arms on the inside of the lock that go to the
door latch.  Is it possible?

I did see one phillips head located on the lock cylinder axis.  Is this what
holds the lock cylinder to the door handle?

I'm hoping I don't have to take any more of the door apart (specifically
the latch itself and the inner metal frame).
