Neil,
I live about 2 miles from Pray Audi and am loving the snow in my TQC. As
you
know , there should be no problem steering with ABS engaged, was sort of
the
design purpose after all, sounds curious. Beyond that, the Quattro brakes
best
in the slick by using the engine. You don't want to lift all the way at
once,
lift gradually and let the AWD decelerate the car. You will get alot more
directional stability this way versus lifting and braking in low traction
situations. It is unfortunate that you don't have even good M&S tires
because
it is a different car, I would volunteer mine and others probably would to
because you won't believe it till you try it properly equipped! Mike
