Over a 17,000 life, my previous 90 CS quattro returned an average of 22.3
mpg.  Highway mileage on long trips (warm weather, moderate climate control
use) was usually in the area of 27 mpg.  Car was completely stock, and the
mileage and performance both improved steadily for the first 8-10,000 miles,
then leveled off.  Previous experience with other quattros indicates that
they take a good long time to break in and settel down.
