90Q20v temp light

For the pasy year I have been topping up my coolant, with no leak found. The 
temp guage stays at 90C when driving on the highway then rises when stopped.
I noticed some steam rising from the engine bay last week and looked, couldn't
find the source, but it was under the intake mainfold on the drivers side. And 
the expansion tank was down, again.
The fan wasn't running either only when it hits about 100c? I thought it was
a two speed?
No dealer has been able to find my leak, and the compression is good.

Any ideas fella's
