re: heated seat switch not illuminating

I found good step-by-step instructions for replacing the light bulbs in the
heated seat switches in the archives.  Look under *switch bulbs.txt*.  The
instructions specify using the following bulbs...

 ...The part that you need is  Radio Shack's "Micro Lamps" which are
    a 12 volt 60 ma light bulb.  The catalog (part) number is
    272-1092.  The cost should be $1.49 for 2 pieces.  ...

I have successfully performed this replacement on both switches in my 1990
100 Quattro.

The red light filter protrusions did break off when I disassembled the
switch. I was able to re-assemble it using super glue.
