Creaking seats

I have the sport seats on my 89 200tq (110K) and when I move around, the left
side makes a creaking noise like the leather/plastic are fighting each other.
 I lubercated the mechanism which moves the back of the seat back, but that's
not where the sound is coming from.  Is the plastic piece on the back of the
seat (which holds the mesh magazine holder) a type of piece that "goes bad"?
 It just bugs the hell out of me more than anything mechanically wrong with
the seat, at this point.  Appreciate any answer to this mystery.
