In a related matter, the paint on the hood of my daily-driver 5k is starting
to chip and it's time to start thinking about painting the car (or having it
painted ... I'm not sure I'm up for spraying metallics). My question is how
difficult is it to remove the bonded-in glass? How likely is it to break in
the process and/or how easily can it be reinstalled? I'm hoping to do a lot
of the prep work myself to keep the cost down but I assume it's worth paying
a professional to tackle this job, right?
