Whammo...1.5 Cutout...!!!



Greetings,

Installed a K&N and whammo...!!!   1.5 cutout...???

All is stock on my wifes pearly white '86 5000CStq unit...and I like to keep
the engine stock and without air leaks. The WG sounds as if it dumps ok....
whirrr....dttttrrrrrrrrr when up-shifting on 1.0 to 1.3 boost. But still cuts
out at 1.5 bar.  I know, I know... this is what we are all striving for on
the list.....

I also know that the Audi is supposed to do this, built-in saftey feature.  I
would like this if it was my ride all the time, but it drives my wife
crazy...???  (or she drives me...)

What can I do to make it only go right to 1.3 -1.4 bar and stop boosting...?
 Should I disconnect the line that goes into the WG...to see if that
helps...?  Maybe the vacumm/pressure valve isn't working right...?  Please
help, limited with time to search the archives....

Always watching the dash...... and freezing -16.1 below zero this morning in
VT.  (My coupe wouldn't start...  : (  New battery time...).
