electric window lift on my '89 200
Hello fellas ( ladies if you are here)
A couple weeks ago I posted a query about a '89 200
I was contemplating on buying in the Seattle area. Well, yes I did
buy the car at $11.8 K. Have enjoyed it for two weeks when the
this afternoon my front passenger side window went down
but refused to go back up. My Bentley manual has not
arrived yet and I have never fooled around with electric
windows. I have check the fusebox but gads these fuses
look like those I never seen before. (My most recent car is
a 82 Quantum!) Would somebody be so kind to send me
method of attack to determining what is dead/bad or shorted?
A step procedure from those who BTDT. I know these lifts are
a common gremlin on the cars but why so soon after my purchase?
The door has never been opened up before as far I can determine.
(and the exotic wood is clouded..)
This is important as I can not have an open window in
Seattle area during the winter 8{P.
Other observations:
1) The window was inadvertently left slightly cracked last night
and water could have gone down the crack
2) There is no click when the switch is actuated either from
the driver or passenger control
3) Why did it go down no problem?
TIA .
