The Cibie/Marshalls are a good light no doubt, however I thinks you'all might
be referring to apples to oranges here.....  Hella makes lights, that if you
were to compare the beam pattern to the Cibies would be "transparent"  ....
 The idea that Hella's light sucks is only a part truism....  How bout KC
lites, run a set of them?  Me thinks not, yet the majority of that line is a
direct Cibie/Marshall app....  When Cibie merged with Marshall back in the
mid 80's, it was to compete in the then "Hella" market of generic replacement
and toy lights....  If you look closely on a lot of cheapo lites Marshall is
the maker, and Cibie is a blood sibling of such.....  Hella chose to market
the cheapos with the excellent, and it can be hardly said that the euro beams
are cheap compared to Cibie, when in fact they are all but identical, in
quality of build and of light....
