SUPER idea, Dave.  Note the big-lights are 14 3/4" by 5 1/4".  I 
will look forward to hearing about the results of your investigation. 
email me direct if you want to compare notes on the headlight 
measurements or likely problems in a conversion.....but as was 
already posted, I'll take a pass on the Lexan idea...  :-)
