The water temp gauge drops to below cold after the car has been running for
20min.

I changed the thermostat and the upper hose and the problem persist.

When the out side temp is below 32 degrees and the car has been running for
awhile if the rpm go above 40k the water temp gauge drops to the lowest
setting as if the car had just been started.  The heat is still working just
fine.

Has my temp sensor gone south or is there some other problem?
