I have always thought that a nice combination is fabric on the seating
surfaces themselves and leather on the edges. Seen a few cars with that
approach including a dorF SHO and those seats sure did some serious
butt-holding-on-to.
Think that my favorites were some aftermarket Scheels seats I put in my
911 back in the 70s. No springs, just block foam and horsehair.
Unbelievably comfortable and fitted with really grabby black fabric
covering. No sliding around there.
