a4 1.8 turbo 20V coming to US

just got word from the dealer that audi is planning the launch of the 1.8
turbo 20V a4.   the intended competition would be the cheap bimmers.

here's the best part:  the car will come with a minimum of luxo-crap,
i.e. no climate control, no power seats, etc for a projected price
of $22K to $23K!

and since it's the evergreen 4 banger unit w/ turbo, you can
imagine the aftermarket potential.

bad news:  probably won't get here till late summer or fall.
