A4 info (long, but sorta interesting)

For those who have recently purchased or are about to purchase or just want more
info about the A4 you should ask for the European (German) pamphlet. It comes
as a folder with four smaller brochures. It is, of course, all in German, but
specs is specs, and some words are downright easy to translate (Radio = Radio,
for example).

The four different pamphlets are: (1) a 50+ page booklet on the Limousine
(sedan) and the Avant (wagon). It starts off with a brief history of Audi, then
more specifics on the A4. There are lots of good photos (including a TT coupe).
There are also lots of photos that are out of focus/blurred. I think this is
supposed to be an advertising technique to show *action*. Personally I find it
annoying (if I wanted the cars to look blurry, I'd add more two carbon alcohol
and less water). p/n 533/1320.46.00 (2) a price list, including the more
common options. Haggling is very unusual in Germany, so an MSRP carries a lot
more weight. Examples: delta CC-Bose radio 2,050 DM ($1,460) :-( Sport
steering wheel 490 DM ($ 350) :-) Leather sport seats and wheel 4,250 DM
($3,000 -- cough, cough) p/n 533/1305.46.00 (3) A customer service (warranty
explanation), equipment (standard) and color options and technical data
pamphlet. Highlights: 10 year rust-thru, 3 year paint, and one (count 'em) year
unlimited mileage warranty. Colors: nothing too exotic (auto shows be damned)
Normal gamut of reds, blacks, blues, Casablanca (ivory-white). Some cool names
though: Smaragd Perleffekt (not a typo, sort of a charcoal green ?) Two
exclusives for the wagon: Paradiesgrun Metallic and Cognac leather. The green
is sort of Kermit-colored, only more tasteful (I like it) and Cognac is tan. One
significant not-standard-in-Europe item: Radios. p/n 533/1326.46.00 (4)
Options. Cool options: Traction control, car-phone prep, climate control that
measures sun intensity, cup holders (it's true) p/n 533.1327.46.00.

The part numbers (p/n) are my best guess. They're printed on the back of the
pamphlets, but they may not be part numbers. There is also a number on the back
of the jacket that the other four came in: 533/1323.46.00. I don't know if this
is the number for the set or just the number for the jacket itself.

There is an additional pamphlet of A4 accessories (different than options):
cool things: sub woofer tube, Philips (non-Audi) radio (don't know about the
fit, no photo of it installed), walnut or carbon fiber look trim for the dash
and console. And most importantly for this time of year, the winter
accessories: Stand heating, basically a high-efficiency heat storage unit,
warms the car interior and more importantly the engine in moments (seconds too
short, minutes too long), custom rubber floor mats, and mud flaps (Cain't hab
no fo by fo, 'thout mud flaps) (Tongue out of cheek, I recommend them) p/n
440/110.004.00, above disclaimer applies.

Questions welcomed, technical, part numbers or otherwise.
