Driver's door lock mechanism

It seems like my driver's side door lock lost it's connection with
the keyhole outside. The alarm still arms by turning the key, but
there is no "tug" that pulls the lock down. Other side works fine.

Suggestions? Is this a reasonable DIY project (to add to my list),
or is the hassle of popping the door panel not worth it?
