the factory manuals say that max. regular boost is 1.8 bar (1 + 0.8)
while the overboost lifts it to 2.15 (1 + 1.15).  the s4 that i drove
did not have a boost gauge, but when i hit overboost it was a
fantastic rush.

the overboost only comes on on WOT.
