What kind of noise?  The pump in my '81 5+5 "chatters" quite a bit 
when cold, not really much when warmed up, but I'm worried that the 
bearings are on the way out (I'm assuming that's what is making the 
noise, as it makes the same sound as a dying alternator).

Is this the type of noise that's ok?  Should I start saving?
