Boostmaster Jacobs Electronics

Does anyone have any experience with the Jacob's Electronics
Boostmaster product. Does it work? How many problems were there
installing it? I believe it is very similar to the boost controller
     products offered by HKS?

I would be fitting it on an '85 TQC, with a visual air/fuel mixture
     display, and calibrated boost gauge.

The salesman started talking very quickly/defensively when I asked
about the need for the boostmaster to detect knocking. He stated that
most knock sensors will start to pick up engine and valve noise and
retard the ignition unnecessarily? Apart from running the car on the
high octane gas what other recommendations do you have on avoiding
     detonation.

     Thanks, Mike
