For the fuel smell, check the gasket for the fuel tank sender in the
gas tank. With a full tank and some lateral movement, I was getting
some gas leaking from this gasket on the TQC. I haven' replaced it
yet, but it's on the list.

For the general fuel problems how about the following:
 -a new O2 sensor
-have you checked the O2 freq valve duty cycle with your sunpro
-are all the system pressures correct
-is the cold start injector functioning correctly, i.e. like turning off
-is the air plate position set correctly
-have you put in all new vacum lines, i.e. no vacum leaks

Some starting points..
