BAD ECU???

Last night at about 1:30am I was trying to locate the source of my high idle on
my '88 80q.  I thought that I would check fault memory.  Well I got almost every
code - Control units, Idle switch, full throttle, no data from FI unit to
ignition unit, air flow sensor, temp sensor, O2 sensor and idle stabilizer.  The
idle stabilizer was disconnected so that I would expect but this did not make me
happy.  The previous owner had the ECU replaced ( I have a call to him already
).  Is this a sign of a bad ECU or are all of these things bad.  I figured if
all of these things are bad that the car wouldn't run at all.  Any help will be
greatly appriciated!  I am on my way to the net to check thae archives.  TIA
