S6 v Corrado

Friday night, my wife and I were stopped at a traffic light. We
were in a neighborhood of low traffic and were first at the
light. While we were waiting for the green, a VW Corrado pulls
alongside to the right, nudging ever so slightly as he thinks
he'll get the jump.

The light turns green, the Corrado guns it. I slip the clutch
on the S6 as I put the hammer down. The S6 pulls alongside the
Corrado, who is rapidly running out of room (parked car ahead).
I back off as I don't know what this yahoo might do.

Don't know how it would've turned out over a longer distance,
but I certainly had him covered through 2nd gear.

He's probably still scratching his head as to how a station
wagon (with two people and a giant Thule topcase) could give
him that kind or run.
