re: Volvo police cars

Regarding Volvo police cars - Volvo made a sleeper model of its 240 4 door
for police duty a while back...plain vanilla 244, steel wheels, vinyl
interior...all blue, inside and out. 
 
The neat thing was that it was stuffed full of a 2.3 liter turbocharged
motor, could be intercooled, for up to 185 horses or so. I think it also
had upgraded suspension and HR or VR rated tires. 
 
Would be really embarrassing to get pulled over by this...sold new only to
police forces, but a few found their way onto the open market ;-) 
 
I almost bought one for fun, but it didn't have a sunroof... 
 
Would have prolly outdragged my Audi (yup, there's the requisite Audi
content).
