Good point, since in my recomendation a factory front sway bar would
be used, perhaps use the one on the car and replace it with something
a bit more heavy duty .

I'd be careful adding a rear sway bar, since it will tend to cause the car
to oversteer unless you add similar additional roll stiffness to the front
end as well.
I know that shocks don't add roll stiffness under steady state conditions,
but weak shocks do let a car roll more as you go into a turn. Your
description of rolling unless cornered just right leads me to believe that
additional transient stiffness from stiffer shocks might address your
problem.
