Re: Sources for Multicolored Jacketed Wire?

After spending many years in the car audio business my suggestion to
you would be to find a shop that does more than a fair amount of
custom work, and purchase the odds and ends of wire that you need from
them. Most custom install shops(at least the better ones) will have a
wide variety of wire in both different guages and different colors and
they will most likely sell it to you by the foot.

     Todd.

... well I finally figured out how to replace the ignition switch module
on the '83 ur-q. If anyone would like the details let me know and I'll
post a more detailed procedure. Anyway, I found that some of the wires
to the switch have been getting a little warm and I thought I should
install a load reduction relay (in addition to the starter and headlight
relays I'm planning to put in).

I have seen single colored insulated wire lots of places, but I haven't
seen wire with multicolor insulation. If I'm going to be doing a lot of
wiring I'd like to have some kind of color code that identifies them.
Does anyone out there know of a source? I am going to be needing some
fairly heavy gauge wire in some instances (I'm thinking ~10ga). Since
I'm not making a profession of this I'd prefer to find a place where I
can purchase shorter lengths < 50 feet. TIA for any info you can provide!
