hahahaha..  how about coming up with ideas on how to solve the
subscribe/unsubscribe problem first? 

if that can be solved, so can your idea.  don't mean to sound
flippant, but i don't think that you'll ever get anywhere with that.

list servers were around since the dawn of time, before even the
internet got its name.  in fact, it started out in the world of ibm
mainframes and this nasty network called BITNET and even in those days
with a much more select crowd of computer geeks only, the
subscribe/unsubscribe problem was there... IT WILL NEVER BE SOLVED!!!

it will be easier to change your email software to use a different
email server protocol that will be more efficient with high volumes...
