Check the switch on the lip of the trunk where it hits the frame. This
switch is supposed to close the light circuit to ground to light the light,
but it corrodes. I cleaned mine, and it worked for a while. I then
bought a sealed mercury tilt switch, but have not yet installed it in the trunk.
