Wastegates

Glenn,

Reading through old '94 posts, I came across your discussions about taking
apart both the URQ and 5000 T wastegates.  Are the parts of the two
wastegates interchangable?  My TQC's wastegate diaphram has cracks in it.
The previous owner and his mechanic think the diaphrams are not
interchangable.  Any thoughts?

I can pick up a low mileage '85 5000 Turbo engine complete for $250.  If the
wastegates are not interchangable, I'll pass.  If they are, I need to move
on it right away.  Can you help?
