1990 200t FWD...

Upon further inspection, it turns out the lack of boost above 4k rpm that we
noticed last night is probably due to a split hose between the throttle body
and intercooler, down underneath where it's not immediately visible.  If I'd
been thinking clearly last night, I would've realized that it wasn't a brake
light problem since the motor would still rev smoothly to redline ... not my
best day, I'm afraid.
   
The final details still need to be worked out but it looks like she's buying
it after all.  Wow ... all these years and nothing then - bam! - I'm able to
find two good deals on used Audis in less than a month!
