Re: Oil Level Light

>>Bill Murin asked about 911 oil level gauges.

Not only does the 911 have an oil level gauge, but the very earliest
911s had no dipstick. The idea was, this was a high-tech car that
should not require its owner to get oil on his hands. Well, the
gauge proved temperamental (the car had to be level, just the right
temperature, RPM etc.) and the dipstick got added pretty quickly. I
don't recall the engine number that this change was made on, but it
was early in the '65 model year.
