I gotta confess. There has been discussion recently about fluctuating
idle and I, (thinking "my car isn't doing that") foolishly hit the "D"
button after every post. Humph. So much for cockiness. I've gotta
remember, the Audi gods'll getcha every time. :-(

It started this morning on the way to work for the first time. Normal
idle has been about 900 rpm and more or less rock steady. Today - 1100
to 1600 rpm oscillation with about a 5 second period.

What causes it? What do I do about it?
