Re:Wastegates and chips and resistors

Superchips hat back on!

Firstly, the leaking wastegate diaphragm. I strongly recommend you have a
leak test done, one way or the other. If you have significant leaks through
or past the diaphragm. CHANGE IT. If the chip is not modified, then you can
drive the car knowing that the computer will detect overboost and cut the
fuel. You will then only be able to limp home by driving off boost.
Superchips may have diaphragms in England. Please mail me directly for details.

The resistor divider mod will advance the ignition throughout the range.
This is because the computer "thinks" there is less air going in than there
actually is and thus assumes there is less load. Less load = more advance.
This mod is one to be careful of if the fuel quality is low as detonation
can occur, followed by meltdown. However, this mod will improve the
performance off boost. Superchips does not do a divider mod.

Finally, on request superchips can supply European MAC02 chips with or
without boost limits as required. Mail me directly for more details.

Plain old Joe hat back on.
